In Loving Memory of Ann Barton It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sad passing of Ann Barton, who passed away peacefully on 5th October 2026 at Hallamshire Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Ann’s sudden passing has left her family and friends heartbroken. She was a devoted wife, a much-loved mum to her three children, Mark, Sally and Joanne, and a cherished nan, great-nan, sister and auntie. She was a special part of so many lives, and her loss will be felt deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. Ann is now reunited with her beloved husband, Keith, whose passing had left a deep sadness in her heart. We take comfort in knowing they are together again. Ann was known for her honest, forthright nature and her ability to speak her mind, often leaving people lost for words. Yet beneath that strong exterior was a woman with a big heart, who loved her family dearly and cared for them in her own special way. She was one of a kind, and her warmth, character and love will never be forgotten. Ann leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a huge hole in the hearts of those she loved. Although she is no longer with us, she will remain forever in our hearts and will be remembered with love, always. Funeral Arrangements Ann’s funeral service will take place at City Road Crematorium on Wednesday 4th November 2026 at 11:45am, followed by a graveside burial at City Road Cemetery at 12:30pm. Family requested flowers for donations, as flowers brought Ann great happiness and were something she truly loved. The family kindly asks that donations are not sent.
